GMA stands for Greater Manila Area. That meaning was the first meaning of it when it was established. Now the meaning of GMA is Global Media Arts, and signified as the "Kapuso Network". They have a radio station too, and it's called Brgy. LS and the radio channel is 97.1.
That is one of the things I'd learned from the tour. It is a good experience to see the anchors that we only see on the screen of our televisions, but now we can have a sighting on them that day. It's fascinating to see the artists that we've seen that day on set. For example Mrs. Suzie and Mrs. Camille on Mars. Not only them but I've seen an anchor, a beautiful anchor named Lala Roque. She is very good in making advice on the future reporters that we accompany on the entire tour.
We've seen the radio DJ too like Papa Dudut! It's a great experience to see how he works. We've seen on him how to work like a professional even you're ill.

Now, we've known what kind of emotional feelings we've felt when we're on the studio, but now I'll describe how it looks.
There are 7 studios in the GMA Network on Edsa Corner Timog Avenue. First is studio seven (7) the largest studio. On televisions you might not see the lights they are using the entire show but when you're on the studio and you look up. You will see a hundred of lights that they are using for just a single show.
They're using too an acoustic foam so it is complete sound proof.
It is the biggest set or studio in the establishment It is used in Sunday PinasSaya.


Next is studio 5. The set is used for news purposes. It has many lights. Each lights has its corresponding purpose. Some of it is used to make the set energetic. They use this set for different programs. Like "Imbestigador" ,"24 Oras", or sometimes "Flash Report"
It is very fascinating there. It has an aura that can cause you to be enthusiast on reporting on-cam. There are high-tech gadgets there that they use, and it's very cool. The use of idiot boards are eradicated but they are using now prompters that's on the lens of the camera. That's why they can look to the camera directly while reporting. The answer to the long lost answer if they memorized their lines has been answered. They don't memorize it they're just reading it!

After the studio 5 we went to Unang hirit studio. It's not the typical studio that you've seen. Maybe on screen you can see that it's big. Actually, it's not. It's just a small room. When it's needed the props men will do their task there and arrange the room in order, but the reality is the neat set or studio that you are seeing on cam is a dismal fact. The truth is when everything is done. It will look like a stock room. Everything is dumped on the corner but it's still in order. It's a good thing for the props men. Kudos for them. When you look above, It's still full of lights that the engineers will mix for a certain program.


The last studio that we visit is the studio of Mars. The picture that you're seeing right now is a picture perfect scenario on how quite big their set is. It's good for a single talk show program. It's cold inside the set. Everything that they are using in the set are all multipurpose. Every props men are good because they work really fast! I'm shocked on that day because the tour guide said to us that they are doing 3 episodes on that day. Every camera man are well coordinated. But the sit for the audiences are good enough, although it just looks like a stairs but it's still pleasurable to see how they work.

After that day, I learned a lot. Not only on how the set or studio looks like, but I've learned that the actors or anchors that we are seeing everyday is just a simple person like us. So, there's no reason to feel starstruck when you've seen them.
Still, the tour was great! I've learned a lot, and I want to go back someday. It's really educational, and It's not a waste of time.
